Choose from Our Retreat Options
(1) AWAKENING RETREATS
A day retreat for Catholic schools to bring their 5th grade class to camp and make it back on time for school pick up. As the title suggests, the retreat is focused on helping these students to awaken to Christ's call to a closer, deeper friendship.
The day follows this general format:
Cost: $6/student (special price!), teachers and parents welcome free!
Variation: If you have a smaller school, you're encouraged to bring the 4th or 6th grade class as well along with the 5th grade class!
A day retreat for Catholic schools to bring their 5th grade class to camp and make it back on time for school pick up. As the title suggests, the retreat is focused on helping these students to awaken to Christ's call to a closer, deeper friendship.
The day follows this general format:
- An energetic game like Gaga Ball,
- an introductory talk,
- Laser Tag outside,
- Gospel skits in small groups on the life of Christ where the kids get to dress up in costumes,
- a friendship, team building challenge,
- lunch (bring your own lunch),
- Adoration where the kids receive a "letter from Jesus",
- and lastly, some announcements and departure!
Cost: $6/student (special price!), teachers and parents welcome free!
Variation: If you have a smaller school, you're encouraged to bring the 4th or 6th grade class as well along with the 5th grade class!
2) CONFIRMATION "GIFT" RETREATS
A day retreat for Confirmation programs to bring their Confirmation class to camp. The retreat is focused on a hands-on, interactive, quick-paced experience of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in preparation for the students' confirmation.
The day follows this general format:

- An energetic game like Gaga Ball,

- various stations where they do hands-on activities to learn about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit,
- lunch (bring your own lunch),
- a chance to ask a priest questions anonymously,
- Adoration and confessions,
- and, Mass upon request.
- Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays, during the school year (Tuesdays are possible, but not preferred). Contact us for scheduling.
- Parishes: Saturdays or Sundays during the school year.
3) TEAMBUILDING DAYS
A day retreat for youth groups, parishes, or Catholic schools to bring their youth to camp. As the title suggests, the day is focused on helping these students to grow closer to one another, get to know each other, grow in trust, and commit to a stronger union around friendship with Christ. The day includes fun, energetic, team building games; Adoration and/or Mass upon request; and the chance for fun activities like lake time, Laser Tag, Archery Tag, and more...Campers should bring their own lunch.

Necessary Documentation
Your group will need to bring the following to camp the day of the retreat:
- Participation Waiver Form and COVID-19 Waiver Form: Make sure every adult and every minor's parent signs one.
- Contract: Your organization and Camp River Ridge will sign a contract for the day and fee. We will facilitate this.
- Certificate of Insurance: We need a copy of your group's certificate of insurance. You can email it to campriverridge@gmail.com. (If your group includes minors, your policy must include abuse coverage.)
- Retreat fee and the stipend for the priest (scroll down for more info).
1. Download the Contract & Waivers
Instructions:
- Download and print the contract. Then fill out the yellow highlighted areas and email it to us at campriverridge@gmail.com.
- Download and print each waiver form and make sure each person attending the retreat has one filled out (both minors and parents). No need to scan them. Bring them to camp with you!

- Check the prices above or contact us for the rental rates: campriverridge@gmail.com.
- If the camp chaplain helped with sacraments (Mass, adoration, confessions), it is customary to offer him a stipend. The amount is totally up to you! Just add it to the total invoice.
Invoice:
- We will send you an invoice AFTER the retreat!
- Make all checks out to "Camp River Ridge".
- Mail the check later to camp: "Attn: Camp River Ridge, 6145 Harvey Branch Rd, Oldenburg, IN 47036."
